FALL 2022 OVERVIEW

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

FALL TEAMS

  • Tackle: 5-13 years old (no flag this season)

  • Each team is not guaranteed but will be formed according to the number of student-athletes in that age group.

  • Limited spaces are available. 

  • Team assignment based on registration by age and your student-athlete's age as of July 31, 2022.

  • All teams are competitive and participation on game day is earned - not guaranteed.

  • The starting lineup for each game will be based on performance - not based on registration.

  • Practice attendance is a requirement and your availability needs to be carefully considered by completing registration.​​

 

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Starts Tuesday, July 12, 2022

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays | 6 pm-8 pm

  • Wear t-shirts, shorts, and cleats to practice until equipment is issued

 

PRACTICE LOCATION

  • Winget Park (Month of July only - side of park by elem school)

    • 12235 Winget Rd Charlotte, NC 28278

  • Winget Park - Field #2 (August - October - side of park by basketball courts)

    • 12025 Winget Rd Charlotte, NC 28278

  • All practice dates/times are weather-permitting and must remain in compliance with local/state COVID restrictions.

 

GAME SCHEDULE 

  • ​August 27 - Jamboree

  • September 10 - First game

  • The remainder of the schedule is pending but games are generally played each Saturday from end of August through early November.

REGISTRATION FEE - NON-REFUNDABLE

Due by July 12, 2022

$175/student-athlete (sibling discount available)

  • Registration fees are non-refundable

  • Non-payment by the deadline will automatically cancel your registration

  • Carefully consider the uncertainty of the pandemic and how game time works before choosing to register your student-athlete. If practice/games are impacted, we will not be able to refund fees.

EQUIPMENT

Sizing: August 6, 2022 

Reminders:

  • Equipment will only be distributed to paid registrations.

  • Must wear padded football pants for proper pants sizing.

  • Sign up for a time slot.

Parents/guardians will need to provide personal use items:

Purchase by July 12, 2022 (must wear padded pants to fitting)

  • 7-piece padded football pants (black)

  • Football cleats (prefer black, white, or navy)

  • Solid white t-shirt or team shirt (worn under jersey)

  • Solid white socks

  • Mouthpieces

NL Spartans will provide the use of the following equipment that must be returned at the end of the season:

  • Helmets 

  • Shoulder Pads

  • Practice Jerseys

  • Game Pants

Equipment will only be issued after the full registration fee has been paid.

​MEDICAL CLEARANCE FORM 

Due by July 12, 2022

Please ask a medical provider to complete the medical clearance form to certify your student-athlete is cleared to practice and compete in tackle football ASAP. This is due before the first day of practice and may be emailed to nextlevelspartans@gmail.com or brought with you on the first day.

CURRENT SPARTANS: Previously submitted medical forms are only valid for one year from the date signed. Please get an updated form before Fall practice starts if your existing form will be more than a year old. 

AGE CERTIFICATION - STATE ID REQUIRED 

  • State-issued ID card (Review DMV site for details before going) 

  • Please take care of IDs before the start of Fall practice.

TRANSPORTATION

  • Parents are responsible for all transportation to and from practices and games.

  • Parents are responsible for all travel expenses associated with any post-season playoff games and/or championship games. Dates, locations, and times will be announced as soon as posted by the league. 

  • NL Spartans will not be responsible or liable for any issues arising out of transportation or other personal arrangements that parents/guardians make with coaches and/or other parents. 

TEAM T-SHIRTS 

  • Available for $10/each 

COVID-19 

  • If you, your student-athlete, or other close family member or friend has a fever, cough, or related symptom of the virus, DO NOT attend practice or games. Please stay home and send a text that you will be out.

  • If you or your student-athlete has been exposed to COVID or tested positive, please notify the team ASAP.

  • We ask that you practice social distancing when interacting with coaches and each other.

  • County/state guidelines pertaining to COVID-19 will be followed.​
